Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I downloaded the e-book last Sunday from an e-group I belong
to and have been reading since. But I actually took my time reading
it so as not to confuse it with any of the two fan fictions (one of
which I only finished last Saturday) I've read. These fan fictions
are so engaging and quite well-written, albeit with a few typos that
give them away :) But for the gushing love story angle, I really like
"The Seventh Horcrux" by Melindaleo in PhoenixSong.net. The
unfinished fake Deathly Hallows
(http://hasanjunaidi.files.wordpress.com/2007/04/harry_potter_and_the_deathly_hallows.pdf)
is also good and foreshadows Snape's true colors. The writers took to
mind J.K. Rowling's hints on what would happen in the seventh book and
wove fantastic alternative novels. My kudos to the writers.
I thought that I was reading another fan fiction when Harry
Potter said, "Thank God." I can't remember reading it in previous
Harry Potter books. And as a Potter fan, I could quite easily recall
lines from previous books :) So despite this line and some typos (due
to scanning perhaps), I knew that I was reading the real thing. Only
Rowling could be so funny. Anyway, I don't want to spoil others'
reading pleasure so I won't say more.
I'm just glad that I can now afford to wait until next year
or until the next book sale to buy my own copy of Harry Potter and the
Deathly Hallows :)
