Our parish priest announced tonight that one of the seminarians of San Carlos Seminary (it seems that he’s the only seminarian from our community) will be ordained on March 15.

Just like in weddings, banns are posted and announced. Our parish priest explained that a seminarian who fathered a child or committed acts contrary to teachings will not be ordained. Only the best deserves to serve as priest :)

Our parish priest jokingly told parents to encourage their sons to take priesthood, especially if they are intelligent and handsome. In the olden times, only the best ones are offered as sacrifices.

I really like this thought :) It reinforces my own wish to have a son who’d be a priest. I wonder when it will be :)
