Bakas

Bakas in the Filipino language means print, mark, trace, trail or vestige. This blog, then, records all those that left their marks or my impressions on anything under the sun :)

2007 Christmas

I thought that I imagined the heat today but the evening
news were full of it. I told my cousin Malen that it was so hot but
she said that it must be because we came from a much-lower area like
Manila. It wasn't so hot in Violago Parkwoods were my family spent
the afternoon.

While other family members talked, I took a nap. I badly
need to catch up on my sleep. I've been sleeping late and yet waking
up early for the traditional Simbang Gabi. Like previous years, I
managed to complete the 9-day dawn mass.

I didn't attend the Midnight Mass last night. I haven't done
so for a long time because I prefer to go to church on Christmas Day
rather than twice on the 24th. The reason we had to hurry from
Violago Parkwoods was so that my mother and I could catch the 6pm mass
here in Bacood. We could have attended the 5pm mass in Violago if
there was one but my aunt said that there wasn't one today.

After mass and dinner, I went biking with my niece Joy and
nephew Tom. This is the only Christmas that I remember biking. Well,
I haven't used my bike for a long time, so it isn't really a wonder :)
But yes, I finally had my bike fixed. The shop across the street did
it for me :)
