          Taekwondo is the Korean name for the "Art of foot and hand fighting". Jumping and spinning in the air and striking out with hands and feet are its special characteristics.

 

          The objective of Taekwondo is to develop the physical and mental strength of its practitioner. It also develops discipline, self-confidence, self-awareness, humility and many other qualities.

 

 

 

VSOP/ VIOLAGO TAEKWONDO CLUB

 

          The VSOP/Violago Taekwondo Club that teaches the fundamentals of Taekwondo, discipline and self-defense began its program during the summer of 2003. After a positive response from the students and the parents, the VSOP/Violago Taekwondo Club continued its program.

 

          In November 2004, the students joined its first competition in the Athletic Association of Private Schools (AAPS) which is affiliated with the Philippine Taekwondo Association. The club won its first gold medal.

 

          On August 27-28, 2005, the club won one gold medal and three silver medals in the Inter-club competition, which is under the affiliation of the World Taekwondo Federation conducted in Kostka School in Quezon City.

 

          At present, Taekwondo session is conducted every Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays to train more children and young adult.

          Wednesdays 4:30PM - 6:00PM

          Saturdays 2:00PM - 4:00PM

          Sundays 1:30PM - 3:30PM
