Bakas

Bakas in the Filipino language means print, mark, trace, trail or vestige. This blog, then, records all those that left their marks or my impressions on anything under the sun :)

Classical Music Concerts on June 7-9

Hallo,
I watched the dance theater piece ,,Indios Bravos" this Monday night. Es
war schön. Aber ich muß zulassen, daß ich nicht viel bis die zweite
Hälfte und das Finale beeindruckt wurde.
Aber ich schaue vorwärts zu den Konzerten der klassischen Musik heute
abend bis Donnerstag.
As Christoph said, hopefully, we'll be dismissed early on Thursday.
Ich möchte zum Konzert am Donnerstag gehen.

FRENCH COLORS !

For the first time in Manila, twelve young French musicians, each one more
talented than the other, will be performing in three musical evenings
dedicated to French and European classical music.

The Philippines will be part of a grand regional tour organized by the
AFAA, the French Association for Artistic Action, in cooperation with
Mécénat Musical Société Générale, which will pass by Korea, Japan,
Thailand, Myanmar, Pakistan, Malaysia and Singapore.

These virtuose artists, hand-picked by the AFAA, are grand prize winners
in the most prestigious international competitions. For example, Nemanja
Radulovic, violinist and child prodigy, just won the most revered « Les
Victoires de la Musique Classique », at age 19. He has performed in Manila
for French Spring 2004, accompanied by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra
conducted by Maestro Rodel Colmenar.

French colors will take place in three concerts : a wind formation to
launch the series at the Francisco Santiago Hall, followed by a string
orchestra in one of the current hotspots of culture, the Ayala Museum, to
culminate on the third evening with all musicians forming a chamber
ensemble for a grand finale.

The French Spring in Manila has built a tradition of bringing memorable
performances to the music lovers of the capital. French Colors is one they
will never forget.

From the beginning, French Spring has always extended an event to Cebu for
the art fans of the Vizayan capital. In 2005, the Quatuor Psophos, shall
bring to Cebu some chosen hues of French Colors.

Free entrance on a first come first served basis
